Her father, William Wessell was born in Hanwell Middlesex in 1810 apparently the son of German immigrants.
Her mother was born in Llanelli Wales in 1812. She probably arrived in London (around 1830?) as part of a family of Drovers bringing cattle to the London Markets.
The coming of the Railways destroyed this way of life.

She is pictured aged 70
