Note: After husbands death in a Railway accident she became the Landlady of the Blackbird Inn Churchfields Road Salisbury by way of compensation for the death. She was required to provide a nights food and lodging for the crew of the last train in Salisbury each night

Four Views of the Blackbird Inn taken by me in 1996 - I drank in there on many occasions whilst visiting
Salisbury to do research. Unfortunately on a return visit in 2003 I discovered the pub had closed down and
had been converted into Houses. If I had known about this I would have asked for a Keepsake!
